Last Z Bounty Missions Guide - Orange Missions, Refreshes, and Daily Limits

Routine guide • Updated Last Z Guides

Quick Answer

Bounty Missions are worth doing every day, but the value comes from chasing S/orange rewards, not just clearing whatever appears.

  1. Do the full set - 7-9 own missions, 5 Help Ally Missions, and 5 Plunder Others attempts.
  2. Refresh for S/orange - tickets and even 100 Diamond refreshes can be worth it until you have about 5-6 orange missions.
  3. Prioritize Star Missions - orange Star Missions, Orange Skill Books, Steel, and Forging Stones are the main targets.
  4. Time Alliance Duel - Tuesday is strongest for Bounty refreshes; Saturday also gives points, but combat usually matters more there.

What Bounty Missions Cover

Bounty Missions are the screen for three related tasks:

Task Daily limit What to focus on
Your own Bounty Missions 7-9 missions S/orange rewards, especially Star Missions
Help Ally Missions 5 helps Orange missions with Orange Skill Books if possible
Plunder Others 5 plunders Orange rewards, ideally orange Star Missions

These are not separate systems. Help Ally and Plunder Others both live inside the Bounty Missions screen.

Mission Grades and Star Missions

Bounty Missions use grade and color at the same time:

Grade Color Priority
S Orange Best target
A Purple Accept only when refresh value is not worth it
B Blue Low value

The game also has S/orange Star Missions. These have much stronger rewards than normal missions and should be treated as the best targets.

Star Missions cannot be refreshed. The in-game rules say a starred mission is published every 2 days, so when one appears, plan around it instead of treating it like a normal mission.

Refresh Strategy

Refresh unstarted missions until the board is mostly orange. A good practical target is 5-6 orange missions before you start locking in the day.

Use refresh tickets first. Spending 100 Diamonds on a refresh can still be correct when it helps you reach more S/orange missions, especially if the rewards include Orange Skill Books, Steel, or Forging Stones.

The in-game probability list shows why this matters:

Mission color Chance
Blue 68%
Purple 24%
Orange 8%

Orange is rare enough that passive clearing leaves a lot of value on the table.

Best Rewards to Chase

The most important Bounty Mission rewards are:

Steel and Forging Stones matter because they appear from Orange Missions later in the game. That makes refreshes more valuable as your account gets deeper into late-game upgrades.

Help Ally and Plunder Others

Do all 5 Help Ally Missions and all 5 Plunder Others attempts when possible.

For Help Ally, look for orange missions with Orange Skill Books. Helping weak rewards is still better than wasting the attempt, but orange helps are the ones that matter.

For Plunder Others, target orange rewards first. Orange Star Missions are the best plunder targets when available.

Alliance Duel Timing

Tuesday is the best day to spend Bounty refresh value because orange Bounty Missions score for Alliance Duel during Shelter Upgrade.

Saturday also gives Alliance Duel points from orange Bounty Missions, but it is usually less important than Tuesday. On Saturday, TvT and attacks on enemy Headquarters are often the main point source, so do not spend your best refresh stack there if Tuesday still needs it.

Practical rule:

Daily Bounty Routine

Use this order:

  1. Open Bounty Missions and check for Star Missions.
  2. Refresh unstarted normal missions until you have about 5-6 orange missions.
  3. Lock in your own 7-9 Bounty Missions.
  4. Use 5 Help Ally Missions, prioritizing orange rewards.
  5. Use 5 Plunder Others attempts, prioritizing orange and Star Mission rewards.
  6. Claim completed rewards before reset.

Each Bounty queue can run 2 missions at the same time without using marching queues. More queues improve completion speed, so do not leave high-value missions stuck when you could run more in parallel.

At 00:00 the next day, uncompleted missions refresh.

Common Mistakes

Thinking the daily limit is 5 total missions

The 5-limit applies to Help Ally Missions and Plunder Others. Your own Bounty Missions are usually 7-9 per day.

Refreshing for A/purple instead of S/orange

A/purple missions are not the real target. Refresh for S/orange, especially on Tuesday.

Ignoring Star Missions

Star Missions are the highest-value version and cannot be refreshed. When an orange Star Mission appears, treat it as a priority.

Burning Saturday tickets before Tuesday

Saturday points are real, but Tuesday is the stronger Bounty refresh day. If refresh tickets are limited, Tuesday comes first.

Helping or plundering low-value missions too early

Use the 5 help and 5 plunder chances on orange rewards when you can. Orange Skill Books, Steel, Forging Stones, and Star Missions are the targets.
