Season 4: Vampire / Moonlit Elegy

Season guide · Last Z Guides

Quick Answer

Start Season 4: Vampire / Moonlit Elegy with Shadow Spring production and Serum Lab resistance, then use seasonal hunting to develop the Mysterious Witch and your Moonlight cards. Reserve Fuel for Night Falls as well as ordinary monsters. Equip your strongest useful bonuses in the correct formation rows, and budget Moon Tokens across the Silver Moon Shop and Night Market.

Which Season Is Moonlit Elegy?

Vampire / Moonlit Elegy is Season 4 in the current sequence:

SeasonTheme
Season 2Winter / Everfrost
Season 3Dinosaur Origin
Season 4Vampire / Moonlit Elegy
Season 5Theme not yet confirmed

Older servers played an additional season before Winter, so their guides call Moonlit Elegy Season 5. Match guides by the Vampire theme and system names. An old S5 title does not name the season after Vampire, or establish the hero-release schedule on a newer server.

What Changes When Vampire Season Starts?

The seasonal map returns to a territory race: city ownership resets, alliances establish their positions again, and Werewolves and Succubi become the regular seasonal hunting targets. The new progression chain adds the Mysterious Witch, Moonlight Collection, formation blessings and a Night Market funded by Moon Tokens.

The practical difference from Dinosaur Origin is the night schedule. Night Succubi and hunter camps appear during Night Falls, while other activities have their own weekly windows. Your ordinary farming routine will not automatically complete the night-event tasks.

Before the transition, finish any expiring Dinosaur exchanges and claims. Agree your alliance's opening location and which night window its rally leaders can attend. Keep seasonal shopping separate from your Diamond reserve.

Seasonal Buildings and Upgrade Order

BuildingMain benefitUpgrade decision
Shadow SpringProduces Holy WaterEstablish production early; improve it when Holy Water is delaying the lab
Serum LabRaises Virus ResistancePrioritize a level that lets you beat a stronger hunting target
Command CenterAdds seasonal Troop DMGDevelop after hunting and production are established
Fire Control CenterAdds seasonal Troop ATKCompare its next upgrade cost with the other combat buildings
Defense FortressAdds seasonal Troop DEFBuild combat durability alongside your damage upgrades

Place the seasonal buildings and follow the season's construction tasks. Shadow Spring and Serum Lab work together: the spring supplies Holy Water, and the lab reduces the resistance problem against stronger monsters. Calling the lab the first priority does not mean leaving production undeveloped.

When a target is too difficult, separate the two problems. If Virus Resistance is below its requirement, a lab upgrade addresses the seasonal penalty. If resistance is sufficient but the rally still loses, improve the formation or arrange stronger alliance support. More resistance alone does not guarantee a win.

Use each building's upgrade screen for its material recipe. Holy Water and Shadow Blood Crystals support seasonal construction, but the spring's recipe should not be assumed identical to the lab's. Winter building percentages and level breakpoints are not Vampire upgrade targets.

These resources serve different jobs. A Witch upgrade uses Demon Stones; it does not consume your construction crystals. A Moonlight Voucher buys a draw, while a Moon Token buys shop goods. Check the currency icon before comparing two offers with similar item names.

Some guides translate Moon Tokens as Silver Moon Coins and refer to vouchers as tickets or watchers. The destination is the useful distinction: Divination for draws, shops for purchases.

Werewolves, Succubi and First-Clear Rewards

TargetFuelPurpose
Werewolf8Accessible seasonal farming while resistance develops
Ordinary Succubus16Stronger seasonal target and a source of construction crystals
Night Succubus16Night Falls objectives and weekly ranking

First clears add rewards while you work through accessible monster levels. Open the reward chests containing Demon Stones and deliver the stones to the Witch. This is separate from repeatedly farming a level you have already cleared; do not read “first kill” as a promise that the same first-clear chest resets daily.

Choose ordinary targets by resistance, successful kills and rewards per Fuel. A Succubus costs twice as much Fuel as a Werewolf. If the displayed crystal reward is also twice as large, the crystal return per Fuel is equal; first-clear rewards and reward-attempt limits can still change which target you should take next.

Keep ordinary and night hunting on your plan. Their reward lists differ, so a Night Succubus run should not be treated as a guaranteed replacement for construction-crystal farming. Follow the rewarded-attempt counter for the target you are attacking; the Dinosaur season's 30-to-15 rule is not a confirmed Vampire limit.

Night Falls: Times, Duration and Ranking

Night Falls starts at 00:00, 08:00 and 16:00 Apocalypse Time. Use the in-game Apocalypse clock rather than reading those numbers as your local time.

Season weekLength of each night window
11 hour
22 hours
33 hours
44 hours
55 hours
66 hours
77 hours
8 onwardEndless night

Night Succubi appear during these windows. Weekly ranking follows the highest-level Night Succubus defeated, with an earlier qualifying kill winning a tie. The player who starts the successful rally receives ranking credit; joining another player's rally does not give you that leader's position. Weekly ranking rewards arrive by mail on Monday.

There are also rally-count tasks, which reward Moon Tokens, Moonlight Vouchers and Power Cores. Read the task verb: a “launch” objective requires you to lead, while “launch or join” allows participation. A strong player can help others finish their qualifying kills by joining their rallies instead of always taking the leader slot.

For an early-season session, reserve Fuel before the window, decide who needs a ranking kill, and tackle the highest target that group can reliably beat. Once that goal is complete, use the remaining time for task progress. More low-level kills can advance tasks without improving your highest-level ranking.

Mysterious Witch and Card Progression

Open Season → Mysterious Witch and deliver Demon Stones to raise affection. Her reward track supplies vouchers, card chests and ordinary progression items. Daily hunting and seasonal activities feed that track; first-clear chests are one source of stones, not the whole system.

The card screens have different roles:

ScreenWhat to do there
Mysterious WitchDeliver stones and claim affection rewards
Moonlight DivinationSpend vouchers for a chance to draw cards
Moonlight CollectionInspect owned and missing cards and collection bonuses
Moonlight BlessingAssign available cards to formation or global slots
Moonlight OperationFind the associated Succubus hunting objectives

As affection increases, more blessing slots become available, including the third-formation and global rows. Return to Blessing after unlocking them: an available slot gives no equipped-card benefit until you assign a card.

Do not buy extra Demon Stones merely because the Witch has a long reward track. First account for the stones coming from your normal hunting and event rewards, then decide whether a purchase reaches an unlock you need for an upcoming battle.

Card Rarity, Duplicates and Choice Chests

Moonlight cards come in blue, purple and orange/gold tiers. Draws are random and do not guarantee a card on every attempt. A new card expands the collection; a duplicate converts into Moon Tokens, with the conversion depending on rarity. Duplicates are not a separate card-level upgrade currency.

Keep collection bonuses and equipped blessings distinct. Check both the card's effect and the collection entry before deciding that an unequipped card has no value.

For collection completion, use the random rewards you already have before spending a choice chest: vouchers first, random card chests next, then a selectable chest for a missing useful card. This reduces the chance of choosing a card immediately before a random reward gives you the same one.

That order does not require saving every choice chest until the season ends. A missing card that strengthens your main formation for an imminent battle can be worth selecting now. Compare the immediate benefit with the chance of obtaining it later; avoid selecting an already-owned card when your aim is to complete the collection.

Moonlight Blessing: Which Cards Go Where?

RowAffectsHow to choose cards
1Formation 1Match your main team's troops and combat needs
2Formation 2Use bonuses appropriate to the troops actually deployed
3Formation 3Build around that formation rather than copying row 1 blindly
Global / AllEvery formationPut broadly useful combat bonuses here

The fourth row is the global row, not Formation 4. A generic bonus placed there can help several formations; placed in row 2, it helps only formation 2.

For a faction-focused formation, match troop-type cards to its army: Shooters for Wings of Dawn, Assaulters for Blood Rose, and Riders for Guard of Order. A Shooter-specific card is a poor fit for an Assaulter formation even if its rarity is higher.

Start by comparing Troop DMG, HP and damage reduction for the global slots, then allocate useful remaining ATK, DEF and troop-type bonuses to individual rows. Treat a creator's completed orange-card deck as a build example; it is not a requirement for using the system effectively with your current cards.

These are seasonal bonuses. Consider how many battles remain when spending shop currency to finish a temporary card collection.

Weekly Night Activities

Until DawnSunday eventParticipate in the seasonal rampage activity
Endless Night DukeOpens later in the season, from week 4Donate Silver Ingots and join the state boss event

Times above use Apocalypse Time. For Night Ritual specifically, newer-server reports also describe a Monday-only schedule. Follow the weekdays shown in your own event calendar when they differ from the established rotation. Endless night extends monster availability; it does not make every weekly event run continuously.

Night Ritual and Seal the Countess

Night Ritual: locate the Night Altars on the world map, attack with your alliance and collect the event's combat and task rewards. The established rotation starts ten minutes after night begins, so finishing an ordinary rally at the hour is not the same as completing Ritual. Weekly tasks supply Moon Tokens, vouchers and progression materials.

Seal the Countess: a Countess affects alliance-held cities with a curse that weakens their benefits. Rally against her to remove it. This makes the event relevant to alliance territory as well as individual rewards: leaving the boss alive leaves the affected city's benefits reduced.

Countess tasks also supply Silver Ingots for the later Duke event. Keep those ingots for that purpose instead of treating them as another Moon Token balance. Coordinate these city rallies separately from Night Succubus ranking runs; the same “who gets ranking credit” rule should not be assumed for every boss.

Hunter Requests and Until Dawn

Hunter camps appear on the world map during Night Falls. Find a camp, open its request and inspect the objective before accepting. The described personal allowance is up to three requests per day, and the requests expire; camps disappear when the night ends.

Share useful camp coordinates with your alliance. Objectives can involve training troops or spending diamonds, so select work that fits your existing plan. A contract that forces an unnecessary purchase can cost more than its reward is worth. Camp-wide availability is separate from your personal allowance: a visible camp is not a guarantee that a suitable request remains.

Until Dawn belongs to the seasonal rampage activities, rather than the Night Succubus ranking. Set aside time for the Sunday event and use its own target, reward counter and tasks. Do not spend Fuel assuming that one boss's rewarded-attempt allowance also applies to the other.

Endless Night Duke and Silver Ingots

Endless Night Duke adds a state-level boss activity later in the season. Its preparation uses Silver Ingots, including those earned through Countess tasks. The donation phase runs from Monday 00:00 to Saturday 00:00 Apocalypse Time once the event is available.

Donate during that preparation phase and follow your state's announced boss time. The event has its own threat progression, so the donation deadline and the battle appointment are separate things to track. Holding every ingot until the battle starts can miss the preparation window.

Silver Moon Shop and Trade Hub Night Market

ShopCurrencyWhat distinguishes it
Silver Moon Shop / Moon ShopMoon TokensSeasonal exchange with items unlocking over time
Trade Hub daytime shopDiamondsMap-based shop tied to hub access and control
Trade Hub Night MarketMoon TokensNight shopping competing for the same tokens as the Moon Shop

The Moon Shop includes card-related rewards and account materials such as Golden Wrenches, Power Cores and vehicle module items. New offers unlock through the season, so the first visible shelf is not the complete spending plan. Inspect locked offers before exhausting your tokens on resources or speed-ups.

Trade Hubs come in levels 1–3 and are alliance objectives. Their day and night shops use different currencies. Owning a hub also gives the controlling alliance benefits from purchases, which is why access and control matter beyond a single player's shopping list.

Decide what the purchase accomplishes. A card choice chest gives temporary combat or collection progress; a Golden Wrench advances the vehicle you keep using. Awakening and exclusive-equipment materials matter only when they match an upgrade path available to your account. Compare those outcomes before choosing a discounted item just because it is discounted.

Do not use a video's token-to-diamond value comparison as an exchange rate. Keep both balances separate, and keep your shield reserve outside the daytime shopping budget. For shields, use available Alliance Shop options before spending that reserve.

Season 4 Heroes and Older Awakening Guides

The current Season 4 hero roster includes Queenie, Yu Chan and Amber. Build around the faction you already use: Queenie for Wings of Dawn, Yu Chan for Blood Rose, or Amber for Guard of Order. Their full build advice belongs in the hero guides rather than in a season shopping checklist.

Older Moonlit Elegy videos also cover awakening Oliveira, Scarlett and Evelyn beyond five orange stars into five red stars, followed by exclusive-equipment progression. That is an upgrade system for existing heroes, not another name for the Queenie release group.

Before committing fragments or buying an awakening offer, match the item to the hero and progression screen available on your server. A voucher for a new hero, an awakening badge and an exclusive-weapon breakthrough material solve different upgrade steps. The shared Vampire theme does not establish that every server receives those offers in the same week.

The same caution applies to Mastery: older S5 guides quote a level-90 cap, while current S4 reporting includes level 70. Use your season's displayed cap and skill tree for the build you can actually make. There is no reliable Vampire-specific lab breakpoint here that justifies copying a Winter Support-to-Combat switch.

Glory, Season Rewards and What Ends

Clash for Glory remains part of alliance progression. Seasonal hunting and city control contribute to the broader season race, while alliance wars can change the standings. Agree the alliance's war plan and contribution expectations early; a Night Falls ranking is not the season's alliance ranking.

Season reward screens distinguish personal and alliance results. Older-server reward lists include awakening choice boxes, exclusive-equipment materials, diamonds and resources, but that does not establish the exact chest contents for the current S4 cohort. Check which reward track and rank a displayed prize belongs to before setting a target.

ProgressEnd-of-season planning
Seasonal buildings and their bonusesTemporary; do not count them as next season's starting strength
Moonlight card blessingsEffects end with the season
Seasonal city ownershipPart of the map reset, not permanent territory
Hero and ordinary account upgradesSeparate from temporary season power
Unspent seasonal currency and materialsCheck each item's expiry or conversion rule; no universal carry-over rate is established here

Before the final exchange closes, claim completed reward tracks and use expiring currency on the best remaining eligible purchases. Do not hoard Holy Water or crystals on the assumption that an unspent balance increases your final payout: that rule has not been established. Spend construction materials when the upgrade still helps your season plan.

A Practical Daily Routine

Keep permanent upgrades aligned with Alliance Duel and Full Preparedness where practical. The new season adds activities to that routine; it does not remove the value of timing your ordinary account progression.
