Last Z State Migration Guide — Score, Tiers, Passes, and Requirements

Event Guide • Updated • 9 min read • Last Z Guides

Quick Answer

State Migration first becomes available after Season 2—not after Season 1—and then returns after each following season. The event lets you move your existing account to an eligible state from the destination list shown for your server group.

Your current migration event screen is final for your Migration Score, Identity Tier, pass cost, eligible states, quotas, and deadlines. The developer does not publish the score formula. Community formulas can help you estimate, but their accuracy can change by server bracket and migration cycle.

Before moving, secure an invitation if your tier requires one, collect enough Migration Passes, leave your alliance, step down if you are President, recall all troops, and make sure your Headquarters is not in combat.

When State Migration Opens

State Migration first becomes available after Season 2—not after Season 1. It returns after every following season, but it is not permanently open.

Each server group receives its own migration window and list of eligible destination states. Your event screen is the only reliable place to check:

A schedule from another server group may not apply to yours. Start preparing passes and destination contacts before the current season ends, then use the live countdown once the migration event appears.

The Three State Migration Phases

PhaseWhat happensWhat you should do
Prep PhaseMigration assessment, destination states, classifications, tiers, and quotas become visible.Check your tier and pass requirement. Contact your preferred state and prepare a backup.
Invitation PhaseState Presidents can invite players. Medium, Advanced, and Elite players can submit Special Immigration Applications.Confirm that the destination has reserved the correct tier slot for you.
Free Migration PhaseRegular players can use an open Regular slot without an invitation. Other tiers still need an invitation or approved application.Move only after checking the remaining quota and every migration condition.

The duration of each phase can change. Follow the timer inside your current event instead of assuming that a previous migration’s schedule will repeat.

Invitations and applications normally expire after 24 hours. An invitation temporarily occupies its tier slot until it is accepted, rejected, or expires. After a Special Immigration Application is rejected, another application can normally be sent after 20 minutes.

Migration Score, Community Formula, and Identity Tiers

Every account receives a Migration Score that places it into one of four Identity Tiers:

Last Z does not publish the exact calculation. Community models also disagree about which power categories and weights apply, so the Migration Assessment shown in your current event is the final result.

Community Estimate from Server 134

A community regression published by JHU570 of Server 134 on December 29, 2025 used seven accounts with screenshot-backed Technology Power, Modified Vehicle Power, and Migration Scores. Its best-fit estimate was:

Estimated Migration Score ≈ 0.7184 × Technology Power + 2.2779 × Modified Vehicle Power − 5,137,698

In this model, each point of Modified Vehicle Power carries about 3.17 times the weight of a point of Technology Power.

Example: 50,000,000 Technology Power and 10,000,000 Modified Vehicle Power produces an estimated Migration Score of 53,561,302.

Accounts within ~5%5

The estimate matched five of the seven baseline accounts within about 5%. The other two accounts did not match their visible stats and were excluded as outliers. Within this small dataset, Troop Power and Hero Power did not show a stable relationship with Migration Score.

Use those results as a planning estimate, not proof that Technology Power and Modified Vehicle Power are the only inputs. The game may use hidden or historical account values, and other community models include Structure Power and Hero Power.

Why Lowering Visible Power Is Unreliable

In one controlled case from the report, a player lowered visible account stats before the Migration Assessment. The formula predicted a lower score, but the score displayed by the game remained closer to the account’s earlier, stronger state.

That supports a practical rule: do not destroy troops, remove equipment, or weaken the account just to chase a cheaper tier. It does not prove that the game always uses one exact peak-power value, but it shows that current visible power alone may not control the assessment.

Use the formula to estimate direction and compare account growth. Do not use it to promise an Identity Tier or pass cost. Tier thresholds change by server bracket and migration cycle; the live Migration Assessment is final.

Migration Pass Costs

Identity TierMigration Passes
Regular10
Medium15
Advanced20
Elite50

The Glory Shop sells one Migration Pass per week for 5,000 Glory Badges.

That creates a long preparation window:

Limited paid Migration Pass packs may also appear during the event, but purchase limits can prevent a last-minute catch-up. If migration is a possibility, start buying the weekly Glory Shop pass well before the season ends.

Destination State Quotas

A standard destination state normally receives the following tier quotas:

Identity TierStandard State
Regular60
Medium40
Advanced5
Elite1

More restricted destinations—often shown as Flourishing or Semi-Open states—can receive tighter high-tier quotas:

Identity TierRestricted State Example
Regular60
Medium40
Advanced3
Elite0

State classification and quota are recalculated for each migration cycle. Always use the numbers displayed beside the destination state during your current event.

Regular and Medium capacity is much larger than Advanced and Elite capacity. A destination can therefore accept a large active group while still having no room for another whale or high-tier account.

State Migration Requirements

Before pressing the migrate button, check every condition:

Leave your alliance only when your invitation, passes, destination, and timing are ready. Leaving too early can cost alliance rewards or event participation if the move is delayed.

How to Choose a Destination State

Do not choose a state only because it has the highest visible power or the biggest Elite player.

Check:

Contact the destination President or alliance leadership before the Invitation Phase. Confirm your expected tier, destination alliance, and whether a slot is actually reserved.

Keep a backup state ready. A promised invitation can disappear if your tier is different from the estimate, the state receives a restricted classification, or another invitation temporarily occupies the last slot.

Planning Migration as a State or Alliance

Migration works better as a state-wide intake plan than as a private list controlled by one alliance.

A useful recruitment sheet should track:

Allocate scarce Advanced and Elite slots deliberately, but do not ignore active Regular and Medium players. Those tiers provide most of the available intake capacity and can add more daily activity, event participation, reinforcements, and future growth than one isolated high-power account.

A candidate’s activity and fit with the destination state matter alongside raw power. A strong account that refuses state rules or expects an entire alliance to reorganize around it can create more problems than it solves.

What Happens After Migration

Your core account progress moves with you, including:

Your alliance does not move with your account. You must leave it before migrating and join or create an alliance after arriving.

State-specific roles and relationships also do not transfer. A President must step down before moving, and the destination state’s alliance placement, territory, rules, and leadership structure apply after arrival.

After a successful migration, a 30-day migration cooldown begins.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does State Migration start in Last Z?

State Migration becomes available after every season, starting after Season 2. Exact dates are different for each server group and appear in the current migration event.

How is Migration Score calculated?

The official formula is not public. A Server 134 community model estimated 0.7184 × Technology Power + 2.2779 × Modified Vehicle Power − 5,137,698 and matched five of seven baseline accounts within about 5%. Use it only as a rough estimate; the current Migration Assessment is final.

Can I lower my Migration Score by killing troops or removing equipment?

No reliable last-minute method is known. In one controlled community test, lowering visible stats before assessment did not reduce the in-game score as predicted. The game may use historical or hidden values, so do not destroy troops or strip equipment just to chase a cheaper tier.

Can a Regular player migrate without the President’s invitation?

Yes, during Free Migration, if the destination has an open Regular slot. During the Invitation Phase, an invitation or approved application is still the safer route.

Can Medium, Advanced, or Elite players use Free Migration?

They still require an invitation or approved Special Immigration Application. Free movement without presidential approval is for Regular-tier players with an available Regular slot.

Does my alliance move with me?

No. Migration moves the player account, not the alliance. You must leave your current alliance before migrating and join or create an alliance after arriving.
