Gear Basics

Each hero equips 4 standard gear pieces plus optional exclusive equipment. The standard-slot stats below are for orange gear:

Gear Rarity Tiers

*Orange base cap is 50. Each hexagon adds +5 (max 75 at 5 hexagons). Mythic transformation adds +25 (max 100).

Investment priority: Put Enhancement Alloy and Power Cores into orange gear first. Purple gear caps at level 30 and cannot be promoted, but enhancing it does not permanently lose the alloy: when you use that piece to enhance orange gear, the full invested amount carries over.

Best Gear Stats by Role

For DPS Heroes (Back Row)

Heroes like Selena, Yu Chan, Queenie who deal damage:

• Priority 1: Attack % — directly increases damage output
• Priority 2: Damage % — multiplies your attacks
• Priority 3: Troop HP — keeps your army alive longer

For Tank Heroes (Front Row)

Heroes like Katrina, Bella, Harleyena who absorb damage:

• Priority 1: HP % — survive longer in front row
• Priority 2: Defense % — reduce incoming damage
• Priority 3: Damage Resistance — flat damage reduction

How to Enhance Gear

Enhancement (Alloy)

Increases gear level using Enhancement Alloy. Access via Heroes → Equipment → Enhance.

Level caps by gear state:

• Base orange gear: Level 50 max
• Each completed hexagon: +5 levels (55, 60, 65, 70, 75)
• Mythic transformation: +25 levels (max 100)

Important: You must reach level 20 before you can unlock promotion. Always enhance to level 20 first, then start promoting.

Promotion (Hexagons)

Orange gear has 5 hexagons, each with 6 steps = 30 total promotion steps.

Promotion uses:

• Power Cores — all steps
• Zent (money) — all steps
• Orange equipment — hexagons 4 and 5 only

First promotion step is HUGE: Only costs 100 Power Cores + 1M Zent but gives massive stats. Prioritize the first promotion step on every piece; a completed star requires all six steps.

Optimal Upgrade Strategy

1. Merit Shop: Buy orange equipment choice box EVERY week until all 5 heroes have full orange (20 pieces total)
2. Enhance to 20: Level up all orange gear to level 20 (unlocks promotion)
3. First hexagon first step: Take the first promotion step on every piece; this is not a completed star
4. Complete hexagon 1: Finish all 6 steps of hexagon 1 on ALL gear
5. Continue evenly: Hexagon 2 on all gear, then hexagon 3, then hexagon 4
6. Stop at hexagon 4: Hexagon 5 costs 10,500 Power Cores, 24M Zent and 9 orange items per piece — skip unless whale

DON'T: Rush one piece to hexagon 5 while others are at hexagon 1. Power per resource is much better when upgrading evenly across all pieces.

First Step Efficiency

The very first promotion step (hexagon 1, step 1) costs only:

• 100 Power Cores
• 1M Zent

This gives MASSIVE stat boost for minimal cost. Always get all gear to this point first.

Hexagon 5 Warning

Hexagon 5 alone costs:

• 10,500 Power Cores (41% of total cores)
• 24M Zent (35% of total)
• 9 orange items (90% of total items)

Unless you're a whale, stop at hexagon 4. The power gain per resource drops dramatically at hexagon 5.

Where to Get Orange Equipment

F2P priority: Buy Merit Shop orange equipment every week until all 5 main heroes have full orange gear. Then save for Power Cores.

Where to Get Power Cores

• Tent Event: Up to 250 Power Cores as rewards
• Military Shop: 1,000 Power Cores (buy AFTER all heroes have orange gear)
• Tyrant Kills: ~500 Power Cores per week
• Alliance Duel: Day 4 chest rewards
• Various Events: Check event rewards regularly

Tip: Enable "Engage Offline" for Tyrant rallies to get Power Core materials and other damage-tier rewards without being online.

Level caps: Stopping at 4 completed hexagons gives a level cap of 70. Completing the fifth raises it to 75; mythic transformation adds 25 levels. Our F2P recommendation remains to stop at 4 hexagons and skip paid red transformation.

Where to Get Enhancement Alloy

• Gear Conversion: Convert spare green, blue, and purple gear
• Daily Activities: Bounty missions, radar tasks
• Alliance Duel: Daily chest rewards
• Events: Various event milestones

Conversion tip: Use spare lower-rarity gear to enhance your orange equipment. An enhanced purple piece carries its full invested Enhancement Alloy value into the orange piece.

Exclusive Equipment

Exclusive equipment is tied to a specific hero. Check that hero’s unlock requirement and equipment effect before comparing it with a replacement hero.

Unlocking and upgrading are different costs

• Unlock: identify the hero-specific item or fragments required to obtain the equipment.
• Upgrade: check which materials improve equipment you already own.
• Availability: read the current event or shop offer. Owning generic upgrade fragments does not mean you can unlock a hero’s equipment for free.

Do not assume every exclusive item becomes free at the next season start. Compare the acquisition cost, upgrade cost, and effect on a hero you actually plan to use.

Mythic forging: requirements and costs

Orange equipment has five Forging Stone stages (+1 to +5) before MAX transforms it into red equipment. You can use the stone upgrades without paying for the final transformation.

Enhancement levels, promotion stars and forging stages are separate. A completed promotion star means all six steps of one hexagon, upgraded with Power Cores. Meet both the level and star requirement for each forging stage.

The five stone stages cost 680 Forging Stones and 260M Electricity per piece in total. MAX adds 300 stones, 50 Pulse Modules and 200M Electricity: 980 stones, 50 modules and 460M Electricity for the full path.

Where to get Pulse Modules

Pulse Modules are needed for the MAX transformation to red equipment; the +1 to +5 stages use none. The confirmed sources on our checked server are expensive event milestones and special packs. Do not budget for a free Alliance Duel supply.

For F2P and light spenders, use Forging Stones you earn to improve eligible orange gear without committing to red transformation.

Red transformation adds 25 enhancement levels to the existing cap; level 100 requires all five completed promotion stars. Reaching MAX forging does not replace Power Core promotion.

Use Forging Stones and Pulse Modules on Tuesday, Shelter Upgrade, for Alliance Duel points.

Common Gear Mistakes

• Delaying orange gear upgrades — Prioritize the orange pieces on your main five heroes. Purple caps at 30 and blue at 20; neither supports promotion.
• Spreading gear across many heroes — Focus on main 5 only (20 pieces)
• Rushing hexagon 5 — Costs 41% of total Power Cores for minimal gain
• Skipping first promotion step — 100 cores + 1M zent gives massive value
• Not upgrading evenly — Don't take one piece to hexagon 3 while others at 0
• Missing Merit Shop — Buy orange choice box EVERY week
• Hoarding spare low-rarity gear — Use it to enhance your orange equipment
• Paying for red transformation too early — improve eligible orange gear with earned Forging Stones; buy Pulse Modules only with a planned spending budget.
